A 3-year-old’s impression of the zoo

Posted on

At the risk of sounding repetitive, we went to the zoo today. We’d taken Emmie once before, but she was just a baby, so she doesn’t remember and therefore she didn’t really get much out of it. It was more for us, first time parents, to take pictures for the scrapbook and “make a memory.” It was a heck of a lot more fun to take her today, now that she is an inquisitive, talkative 3-year-old. Here are some snippets I heard her tell her daddy about the zoo.

“There was birds, but they wouldn’t give me kisses.”

“We saw llama llama red pajama, and he looked just like in the story!”

“The tigers were pretty lazy.”

“The snakes and spiders were very sneaky.”

“The flamingos go like this!” (see picture)

“The monkeys like to climb on trees and swing on the monkey bars.”

“We saw the dinosaurs, but they weren’t real. I like the Dino-saurus Rex best.”
